We keep coming across the same email enquiries over and over again from parents. So we have decided to combine all our responses here in this page. This page serves as a reference for all parents who will be filling the online form for their child's admission to Junior K.G (Academic Year 2014-15)
We get a large number of queries by email / website feedback and may not be able to answer each one of the emails personally. So we have put up this page to answer the most important and queries we keep getting consistently.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question 1. I have submitted the form online. What else should I do?
Answer. The online facility is to ensure that parents do not have to come to the school to collect the form like earlier. There used to be long queues of parents right from 5AM in the morning, just to collect the form. After we have gone online with this facility, it lets us avoid such inconvenience for parents. At the same time, it lets us allot time slots to accept submissions. This prevents long queues during form submission also since parents are called at different times to submit the forms.
And to answer the question, after submitting the form online, you have to take a printout, paste your childs recent colour passport photograph and sign at two places in the form. Then you have to submit the form at the school office only on the date and time printed on your form. Please read carefully and follow instructions on the back of the form.
Question 2. I have printed the form. What is my application number?
Answer. The application number is clearly printed in your form itself. See the picture below for the location of the application number and the time and date of submission of form.
Question 3. What documents should I bring during form submission?
Answer. First of all, paste you child's recent colour passport sized photograph on the form. Sign at both the places in the form (at the bottom of both the pages where mentioned). You are expected to carry all the relevant documents as mentioned on the back side of the form print-out. You will have to submit photocopies of the documents along with the form. Please carry all the original documents also. The originals will be only used to verify the authenticity of the photocopies of documents during submission and will be returned to you on-the-spot after you submit the form. Please note that if you do not have originals, your application form print-out might not be accepted at the school office. So please ensure you have the original documets for submission.
Question 4. I cannot come, can I send someone else to submit the form?
Answer. We require that both the parents and the child be present at the time of submitting the form. All the original documents should also be carried on the form submission day for verification. Please do not request for any exepmtions to this requirement. Your form will be rejected if you send someone else to submit it.
Question 5. I do not have the ration card / I do not have the birth certificate / What can be done?
Answer. Not having any of the original documents will lead to rejection of your application. But in case the ration card is not there at the moment, we accept the House Agreement copy as a temporary proof of address. But in case your child gets selected at a later stage, you will have to produce the ration card at that time, or else your application might be rejected.
Regarding birth certficate, this is the most important document for proof of age. We also accept the hospital discharge certificate as an alternative proof of birth, but without at least one of these two documents, there is no way we can accept your application.
The management's decision is final regarding any documentation during the online admission process.
Question 6. I have submitted my application form. How can I check the status of my application?
Answer. Parents who have applied for admission and have submitted the form at the school office, can check the status of their application on this website, at a later date. The status checking facility will be available on this website later. Please keep checking this website regularly. You might get SMS notifications on your registered mobile number as well (if you have not registered for DND). The best way to stay updated is to keep checking this website.
Question 7. I have submitted the application form online and also have an application number, but I could not get the printout. Now the printing facility is closed. Can you help?
Answer. Ample time is provided to get the form printout. We cannot consider cases where the form has been filled online but not printed. All other applicants have successfully printed their forms and there was no technical issues at all during the application process. The school website was available 100% of the time. So we are sorry, no concessions will be made if you do not have a form printout.
